Everest Electronics

Building Nepal’s consumer electronics manufacturing platform — 500 kW solar-powered, 10 product categories, Lumbini assembly, SKD/CKD export model to India.

Overview

E² — Everest Electronics is establishing Nepal’s first dedicated consumer electronics manufacturing platform. Positioned at Lumbini with 500 kW renewable solar capacity, the facility manufactures and assembles 10 product categories across consumer electronics with a dual-model approach: domestic assembly and SKD/CKD export manufacturing for India and regional markets.

The platform addresses Nepal’s manufacturing gap by creating jobs, retaining value addition, and establishing Made-in-Nepal credibility in consumer electronics. Through integrated component assembly, automated quality systems, and export-focused logistics, E² positions Nepal as a capable regional manufacturing hub — not merely an import-dependent market.

Made-in-Nepal Advantage

Everest Electronics establishes Nepal as a credible electronics manufacturer rather than perpetuating import dependency. With 500 kW renewable solar capacity embedded at the facility, production is powered locally and sustainably. The Lumbini location provides proximity to India’s market while maintaining Nepal’s identity and intellectual property.

By building consumer electronics manufacturing capability, Nepal creates skilled employment, retains product value addition, and develops export credentials that attract investment in higher-complexity manufacturing. The platform demonstrates that Nepal is capable of precision manufacturing at scale — not merely a market for imported goods.

Dual Workstream Model

E² operates two complementary production streams: domestic consumer assembly for Nepal’s market, and SKD/CKD (Semi-Knocked Down / Completely Knocked Down) manufacturing for India and regional export. This dual approach maximizes capacity utilization while serving adjacent markets with different product specifications and regulatory requirements.

The SKD/CKD model is particularly advantageous: it allows Nepal to manufacture components and sub-assemblies while final assembly occurs in destination markets, reducing shipping volume and customs complexity. This positions Nepal as a precision components supplier to larger regional manufacturers — a sustainable long-term role that can expand across multiple product categories.

“Nepal manufactures its own consumer electronics. We build for ourselves, export to our neighbors, and prove that Made-in-Nepal means quality, capability, and innovation.”

The Everest Electronics Platform

Everest Electronics integrates manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, and logistics into a unified platform serving Nepal and India. The facility is designed for scalability across 10 product categories with modular manufacturing cells that adapt to changing market demands.

Manufacturing cells are sized for rapid reconfiguration between product categories. Quality assurance is embedded throughout production, with automated testing at assembly checkpoints and final product validation before shipment. The platform supports both Made-in-Nepal domestic sales and SKD/CKD export manufacturing for India.
